This Site provides free educational resources, tools, and content related to Prometheus monitoring, observability, and related technologies. Services include but are not limited to:
- Alert Rule Generator: A web-based tool for generating Prometheus alerting rules with SLO (Service Level Objective) support
- Resource Calculator: A tool for calculating memory, CPU, and disk space requirements for Prometheus deployments
- Educational Content: Blog articles, tutorials, documentation, and best practices related to Prometheus, monitoring, and observability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDINALITY CLOUD, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Site
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Site
- Any content obtained from the Site
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Use of generated Prometheus configurations, rules, or calculations in production environments
- System downtime, service interruptions, or monitoring failures resulting from configurations generated by our tools
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SITE. SINCE THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS ZERO DOLLARS ($0 USD).
4. User Responsibilities
By using this Site, you agree to:
- Review and validate all generated configurations, rules, and calculations before deploying them to production environments
- Test thoroughly in non-production environments before production deployment
- Understand Prometheus configuration and the implications of the rules and settings you generate
- Not use the tools for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Not attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Site’s integrity, security, or availability
- Not use automated scripts or bots to scrape or download content without permission
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Site
CRITICAL WARNING: Generated alerting rules and configurations should always be reviewed by qualified personnel familiar with your infrastructure before deployment. Improperly configured monitoring can result in missed alerts, alert fatigue, or resource exhaustion.
5. Privacy and Data Collection
5.1 Client-Side Processing
Our tools (Alert Rule Generator, Resource Calculator) process all data client-side in your browser. No form data, metrics, configurations, or calculations are transmitted to our servers or stored by us.
5.2 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics about how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect information including:
- Pages visited and time spent on pages

- Geographic location (city/country level)

Prometheus® is a trademark of the Linux Foundation. This Site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Prometheus project or the Linux Foundation.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (including GitHub, Cardinality Cloud, and external documentation). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of external sites. Linking to external sites does not imply endorsement.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property disputes.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Cardinality Cloud, LLC regarding the use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements.
